Another 5-star review on Goodreads

“With even minimal knowledge of birds, this book will take you on a journey to discover more about them then you could ever imagine.”

Lucinda E. Clarke, Author of “Walking Over Eggshells”

“I didn’t think I would enjoy this book, but I was wrong. I’m not a personal fan of feathered creatures, but this book opened the door a little and I shall watch birds more carefully from now on, it has sparked my interest. I had no idea there were so many activities connected with watching any creature, and as a teacher in my early life I thought I knew it all.

“This book is well written, and follows each process step by step, leading in ten easy stages from the simple to the more advanced and just about every suggestion is within reach of everyone – most do not require heavy expenditure but simply the time taken to share a new interest with your child.

“There is emphasis on not using screen time, but getting out into the garden, the local park and the countryside instead – that in itself has a lot to commend it. Although a few things can be checked on the web, the writer steers readers towards the local library and bookshops.

“Besides watching the birds, each chapter takes a step aside to include peripheral activities, such as astrology, art, maths, photography, any of which may stimulate a lifelong hobby in the child.

“I would highly recommend this book as an invaluable tool for bonding with your child – and here I’m thinking of maybe single parent families when Dad has the kid one day a week. It’s not a book to hand over to a young person, but a guide where you can work and play together in a stimulating environment.

“With even minimal knowledge of birds, this book will take you on a journey to discover more about them then you could ever imagine.”
